Bullhorn. Dance team. T-shirts. The Jackson Five. The FUSA campaigns are off and running, and Spencer Thibodeau and running mate Jordan Hummel are playing the role of the rabbit. The Loyola Commons was filed with more than 50 supporters of the Thibodeau-Hummel ticket, who gathered for the campaign rally, hosted by Thibodeau’s campaign manager and close friend, Darryl Brackeen ’10. “I want to end the feud between FUSA and IRHA,” said Thibodeau, who pointed to current IRHA Vice-President and candidate for IRHA President Michael Stahl ’10. Michael Fischetti ’10, who announced last week his vie for the FUSA presidency, endorsed Thibodeau in lieu of a concession speech. “I was consider running for FUSA President, but when I looked at the field I felt Spencer’s was most qualified, plus I probably would take the job seriously if elected which would be bad for FUSA,” said Fischetti. The ticket also included Senatorial candidates Frank Spizzoucco ’10 and Kelly Young ’10, who were among the formally dressed in front of the Fairfield University flag. VP Candidate Jordan Hummel took to the podium and thanked the supporters. Hummel stated she wants “not only a student association by the students but for the students.” Both Thibodeau and Hummel said they could not promise anything but said they would work for the goals of the students.
