To the Editor:
I’m requesting that the staff of The Mirror assign Michael Bond a topic lacking despair and bitterness in favor of, dare I say it, happiness. As his many readers will attest, anger obviously falls within Mr. Bond’s niche.
I feel that as a publication of a Jesuit university that encourages the development of well-rounded students, The Mirror should follow suit and encourage the development of well-rounded writers on its staff.
Perhaps bunnies or other small furry animals lack appeal with Mr. Bond, but maybe The Mirror can send him along with one of the university’s Broadway trips. An editorial regarding the life of Annie might put some sunshine in Mr. Bond’s day. As a former classmate and avid reader of Mr. Bond, I sincerely believe a little joy will go a long way to improve both the readability of The Mirror as well as Mr. Bond’s outlook on life.
Sincerely,
Ryan Cantor ’04
