To the Editor:
Feb. 3 marked the first anniversary of the passing of our son Alex while he was a sophomore at Fairfield.
As you might imagine, it has been a long and difficult year for us. But it has been made easier by the prayers and support we have received from everybody at Fairfield University, from Fr. Von Arx on down.
We are especially grateful to Fr. Mayzik and the whole Ignatian Residential College community. We will never forget their thoughtfulness and kindness in building a memorial garden for Alex outside of Loyola Hall.
Fairfield University was Alex’s favorite place in the world and we are grateful that, through that memorial, he will continue to be a part of that beautiful place for years to come.
