To the Editor:

I think it is interesting that The Mirror has always had stories about student apathy for Fairfield events.

Fairfield men’s soccer team is now ranked 24th in the nation, and you have to turn inside the sports section to find the story. A story about a student’s father being arrested makes the front page.

I would think the mens soccer team would be a front-page story, or is it not sensational enough?

We seem to have lost the idea of what is important and how we can go about embracing the great accomplishments of our University.

Sincerely,

Greg Turner ’05
