Hello and welcome to the start of another fantastic year! I am so excited that all of you are back on campus! We here at FUSA were hard at work all summer and we are excited to finally act on some of the amazing events that we have planned.

This past week we had our big week of welcome which was a huge success. The weekend was also a big hit when we worked together with the Ham Channel and WVOF to present the Fall Field Day.

Just a reminder, tomorrow the forms for the freshmen elections are due as well as the applications for general committee for the programming branch. So if you have them, be sure to get them in. If you still need them you can pick up copies in the FUSA office.

In the coming month, we have many great events planned out for the student body. This includes a New York Yankee’s game, a trip to see the Broadway show “Jersey Boys”, and the ever popular Make Your Own Street Sign event.

If athletics is your thing, FUSA is sponsoring the men’s soccer game on September 20. There will be food before and after the game. To heat things up, we’ll be having a bonfire.

There is, of course, the big finale at the end of the month: the Presidential Ball on September 29. This amazing dance has been a blast in the past and this year we look to make it even more amazing. Make sure you get your ticket early.

On the academic side of things, we will be helping with the Study Abroad Fair and the Peer Advising Fair.

These events are just the tip of the iceberg, so keep an eye out for all the great things FUSA is doing for you.

Our great university is really nothing without its best part: the students. So, once again, welcome back and get ready for a great year!
