1. Will men’s lacrosse recover?
Tom Cleary: Yes, men’s lax has a tough schedule ahead of them so it will be hard, but they definitely have the talent.
Keith Connors: Absolutely. By the end of the year, we may be talking about them as “the” best in Fairfield history.
Chris Simmons: I would care, maybe, if they played in a lax state like Maryland. Besides, it’s almost Opening Day.
2. Jon Fernando or Zach Morrison?
Tom Cleary: Fernando. Both are really good guys and talented tennis players, but Jon has played first singles almost his entire career and done really well at it.
Keith Connors: Huh? I’m not really a big Gonzaga basketball fan, so not Morrison.
Chris Simmons: Who is Jon Fernando or Zach Morrison? But, Fernando sounds cooler…I’m sure he does well with the ladies.
3. Is baseball versus UConn even fair?
Tom Cleary: The Stags didn’t play that badly against UConn. If they had a few more hits, had pitched a little better and not made as many errors, they might have won.
Keith Connors: Is baseball versus anyone fair?
Chris Simmons: Is UConn good at baseball? Of course, if they played us, it probably didn’t matter.
4. Winner of the NCAA Championship?
Tom Cleary: Georgetown. It’s Hoyas Hoopla again. Always have to root for the Big East team.
Keith Connors: Saxa Hoya! They beat the Tar Heels! For a Duke fan, that goes a long way.
Chris Simmons: Ohio State. You can’t beat a 30-year-old freshman with the best point guard in the country giving him the ball.
5. El Niño or global warming?
Tom Cleary: Global warming. Who needs California anyways?
Keith Connors: Global Warming. I’m hoping by the time I’m a senior I’ll have a beach townhouse on campus.
Chris Simmons: El Niño, which is Spanish for: The Niño.
