Fans may ‘Panic’ over band’s new sound

For fans who are confused about the band's new direction, Panic at the Disco opens its new CD, "Pretty. Odd.," with a minute-and-a-half long song addressing the concern that their sound may surprise audiences. The track, entitled "We're So Starving" proclaims, in an almost Broadway-bound style, that their fans "don't have to worry, because we're still the same band …" In reality, however, Panic at the Disco shows a different style.

I’m locked up: Fairfield won’t let me out

While most people in my class are looking forward to the freedom of senior year, I'm left sullen over the fact that I am stuck on campus like a prisoner. The whole Off-Campus Boarder (OCB) lottery debacle has given Residence Life a bad reputation, and the way they have handled their angered students hasn't helped them one bit.

Coming together:

This Friday signals more than the beginning of yet another keg-filled weekend at college. It is also the start of Diversity Week, a week of campus-wide celebrations, marking Fairfield's initiatives to celebrate diversity and increase awareness. Diversity Week begins with the IRHA-sponsored Spring Fling and continues through Sunday with an IRHA sponsored cultural movie night as well as a comedy night, hosted by Jewish awareness group KADIMA, starring Steve Hofetetter.

Cuffing for a cause: Fund-raiser will aid Special Olympics

Theft. Assault. Armed robbery. Underage drinking. Fund-raising for the Special Olympics? Many situations can get students in trouble with the law, but the penalty for doing good deeds isn't usually jail time. On Wednesday, April 23, however, some students will voluntarily get locked up for "Jail 'n Bail," a fund-raiser held by Public Safety to raise money for Special Olympics of Connecticut.
