DPS: Clery statistics in ‘good shape’

Fairfield University campus safety is in “very good shape” in terms of its crime statistics, according to the Department of Public Safety. Fairfield recently released its crime statistics, in accordance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, which mandates that college security submit annual reports before Oct. 1.

Community sets sights on climate change

Residents of Fairfield County launched the first Citizens Climate Lobby meeting on Sept. 24 at the Burroughs Community Center. “We are really trying to make an impact from below on our congressional people to have an effective policy on climate concerns,” said Barbara Bresler, a Bridgeport resident that lived in Fairfield.

Her phone could be set just a few feet away, but as soon as it starts to ring she is sprinting full force towards that 5-inch piece of aluminum thinking, “Yes, it’s him!” Poor girl. We know where this story ends, the phone is lighting up with many names, but never the one she wants.

10:50 a.m. – A Fairfield student was referred to student conduct for inappropriate behavior near Fairfield Prep facilities. Department of Public Safety has a strong suspicion that psychoactive drugs were involved.
