Oct. 27 is a big day for Fairfield and MAAC basketball fans: MAAC Media Day in New York City at the ESPN Zone at 11 a.m.
The unofficial kickoff of college basketball season for those of us who watch and cover Fairfield basketball, MAAC Media Day brings coaches and few players from all the men’s and women’s teams to NYC to unveil the pre-season coaches rankings and All-MAAC teams. This year the event will be streamed for free at the MAAC’s Web site.
The Mirror will also be covering the event with pictures and video online after it is over, so if you can’t catch it live, visit our Web site after for all the happenings.
So starting after we make the trip back from New York, the Mirror staff will be ready to get this blog kickstarted once again. We will have our reactions to the rankings, pick our own rankings and awards and give some inside info from the event in the ESPN Zone.
