Gai released by the 76ers after playing only two games

In his career at Fairfield, Deng Gai '05 was a man playing amongst boys. But that wasn't the case in the NBA. Gai, who finished his college career tied for sixth all-time on the NCAA career shot-blocking leader board and was perhaps the best player in team history, was released last week by the Philadelphia 76ers after playing just two games.

You may or may not have noticed, but the much publicized StagWeb problems that left many frustrated have been fixed. "I was frustrated the first couple of weeks of school, but now that it is working fine, I'm happy," said Anthony Genovese '06. The problem with StagWeb was due to a failure in the university's UPS, which is an uninterruptible power supply.

University offers free online courses to limited number of students

University College classes here at Fairfield make this possible by offering online classes to some undergraduate full-time juniors or seniors free of charge during the fall and spring semesters, according to Robert Russo, director of University Registrar.

Fairfield University has a reputation for having a well-kept and beautiful campus. However, the spacious atmosphere may be altered with a new residence hall. The addition may be made in the quad, the village or possibly next to the Dolan School of Business.
