#20 Men’s Lacrosse Upsets #11 Bucknell

The Stags, who were ranked 20th in the country this week, moved to 4-0 on the season by defeating the 11th ranked Bucknell Bison, 13-7 in Fairfield on Monday. Senior Mike Bocklet led the way for Fairfield with six goals, giving him a team-high 11 goals on the season.

Field hockey eyes another Patriot title

The field hockey team had a burdensome weight put on their shoulders this season as they try to repeat as Patriot League Champions again this season. Despite finishing .500 overall last year and fourth in their division, the team exceeded expectations and went to the school's first NCAA field hockey tournament by winning the conference tournament.

Consistent team play along with energetic performances by three freshmen led the women's volleyball team to two victories this past weekend at the Fairfield Volleyball Classic. The Lady Stags raced to an 11-1 lead against Harvard in the opener and never looked back.

Youth and inexperience has been the biggest pitfall for the women's soccer team, who has struggled through growing pains thus far this season. Head coach Maria Piechocki says once the team gets better acclimated with each other, better results will follow.
