So Meg and I were talking, and we decided what better way is there to welcome everyone back to Fairfield from spring break than with some super hilarious cheers and boos!?

(Translation: Since our responsibilities to this column slipped our mind this week, Meg and I decided that it was time to break out a cheers and boos gimmick and effectively mail it in this week. To those that already consider the two of us hacks for journalists; this week’s column should pretty much cement your argument).

Now on with the cheers and boos! (Translation: Now is a good time to stop reading.)

CHEERS: To the Duke White-, excuse me, Blue-Devils losing in the first round of the NCAA tournament. Although Duke’s fan base of nerds probably don’t agree, the team hasn’t recruited a likeable player since Elton Brand, and they deserve a future of eternal damnation for the fact that Christian Laettner made the original 1992 Dream Team.

BOO: To the death of a dynasty, as Team Plescia bowed out in the Fairfield Intramural Dodgeball finals. The best dodgeball team to grace God’s green Earth failed at winning a second title this year. Injuries played a major factor in preventing our repeat, and Team Plescia will unashamedly use these injuries as our excuse for losing.

CHEERS: To St. Paddy’s day in Boston, which I would like to describe here but can’t possibly do with words that Mirror editors would allow.

To give you an idea of the insanity, one of my friends puked Team America-style on the Red Line and not a single passenger on the train batted an eyelash

BOO: To Fairfield University’s own “Amy P.” getting screwed in the second round of the Collegehumor.com hottest college girl contest, losing by 1% of the vote to some tramp from Temple University. If you haven’t seen it, check it out on College Humor: She deserved to be in the finals.

CHEERS: To the “Borat” DVD. The guy who played Azamat Bagatov just replaced Dan “You’re a Weird Guy Ace” Marino as my favorite actor. Too bad smoking marijuana is illegal, because I heard that stuff makes things funnier, which could really enhance watching a movie like this. What a shame.
