Volunteer to help kids this summer

Camp Meechimuk, a camp for children with HIV and AIDS, is looking for student volunteers this summer for one week in August.

The camp is located in Connecticut and houses 80 children, ages 6 through 15. The camp relies on volunteers and is free for the children who attend.

The positions available include: counselors, cabin leaders, sports directors, lifeguards and waterfront directors.

For many of these children, the week at Meechimuk is their only opportunity to have a camp experience, to be away from the city streets.
