To the Editor and Fairfield University: Hello Fairfield I would first and foremost like to welcome all returning students and the class of 2012. It has been my privilege to have been on IRHA since my freshman year and I have been proud of the progress that we have made so far. As this new school year begins I would like to state that IRHA will now try to branch out and begin working on the issues again whether it is with the residence halls, housing lottery, and being that liaison for the students to Residence Life. As a residence hall student government in the past we have neglected these issues and now I am proud to say that we are going to advocate for issues that may arise from our residence and once again be a mouth piece for the students that are not heard. Today is the day that IRHA takes a stance and begins to work with FUSA our student government on the issues of the students and the residence halls as well. We will not just be programmers, but become advocates and stand up for what’s right. To not just sit back and be told by the administration what to do and how to do it. We will work with the administration to find a better housing lottery system that would best fit everyone’s needs. To begin finding our own path and our own way to deal with issues that may arise within our student body. This year is the time that we come together and make the right decisions and when we do that we can only say in the end is that WE ARE ALL STAGS!! Believe me it can’t get any better than that. GO FAIRFIELD YOU ROCK!!
