To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to the student body and welcome everyone back from what hopefully was a relaxing and restful summer. To the Class of 2009: Welcome and congratulations on beginning a terrific four years here at Fairfield University. My name is Jess DiBuono, and I am the president of the Fairfield University Student Association.

FUSA, as most of you may know, is the official undergraduate student government. FUSA represents the student body to the Fairfield University administration, and we want to make sure that this year we represent your needs and interests to the best of our abilities. To do so, we need YOU. We encourage you to stop by the FUSA offices, located on the bottom floor of the Barone Campus Center, to see what we’re working on. Check out our webpage: Fairfield.edu/fusa, or email us at fusa@stagweb.fairfield.edu.

As president, my role is to represent and serve the student body. The FUSA President ensures that the student voice is heard and that students’ concerns are addressed. I am always available for students, so please don’t hesitate to contact me. My office extension is x4040, or email me at fusa@stagweb.fairfield.edu.

FUSA not only represents the students, but also puts on a number of programs each and every weekend. I encourage you to attend these activities and enjoy them – they were planned by students, for students.

I look forward to what will be a great year. I hope everyone had a terrific start to the year, and to the Class of ’09, take one small token of advice from someone unwilling to accept the “Senior” status she finds herself in – make the most of these four years. Get involved and HAVE FUN!

Sincerely,

Jess DiBuono ’06

FUSA President
