To the Editor:

On January 27, as some of you may know, a few Fairfield University students were arrested in connection with vandalism near campus. We are those students and we would like to take this time to apologize for our actions. We love the town of Fairfield and everything it has to offer. We know that actions such as these give a bad impression of the University, but the actions of a few should not change your views of the University as a whole. This school does great things for the community. We realize what we did was extremely thoughtless, and if we could go back and erase that night we would in a second. We can only imagine how angry we would be if some college students came by our houses, or our mother’s and father’s houses, and did the same thing. We would be furious with them and even an apology would not make us feel or look any differently upon them. However, we address you with the hopes that you can find it in your hearts to forgive us for our actions.

Sincerely, Shawn Schuerlein John Kelleher Tim Sheehan Matthew Shea Kate Tully
