Imagine being charged with plagiarism by a computer program and failing the course, then having the teacher refuse to read the paper in question over in person to make sure the computer made no mistake. That is just what four students are claiming happened in Dr.

Paul Duffy '05 and Kevin Neubauer '05 will face each other Tuesday in the FUSA Presidential election after the primary saw a decisive win by Duffy,while Neubauer edged out Ben Manchak '05 by less than 30 votes. "I realize just how many friends I've made here these last two years," said Duffy, who received 501 votes.

In an effort to restore stability to the student government, FUSA President Kevin Neubauer '05 has filled in one of the positions recently vacated after three Cabinet members resigned in protest. Katherine Petta '05 has been named to replace Malu Gonzalez '04 as Corresponding Executive immediately, though Petta does so without any of the training normally given for the position.

Three members of FUSA's Executive Board resigned last week after an encounter with a university official last December left them feeling threatened and their rights allegedly violated. With Malu Gonzalez '04, Erin Fredericks '04 and Chris McGee '05 gone, FUSA President Kevin Neubauer '05 is left with only one Cabinet member and a severely diminished Executive Board.

When James Taglione '05 checked his housemate's AOL Instant Messenger profile last week and saw a link saying it contained his picture, he clicked on it. "He's linked to other stuff like that before, so I didn't think it was weird or anything," Taglione said.
