Gen 13 is a comic book series with a long and complicated history. The series had one run, which lasted for almost eight years. Altogether, the series has 77 issues, as well as two special books and a magazine. There was also a revival series in 2002, which only lasted a year and a half.

Handsome men in serious situations

When the closing credits began to creep along the screen, I sat nailed to my seat, still unable to move due the phenomenal film that is The Departed. Director Martin Scorsese has finally returned to form with a riveting thriller that keeps you in anticipation for every minute.

The best of both worlds

Innovative is a term that is most often used whenever something is considered to be forward looking or ahead of current thinking. Right now, Jared Mezzocchi '07 is doing something innovative. Mezzocchi is a senior with a double major in Film and Theatre, a star performer in the upcoming Theatre Fairfield production of "The Shadowbox," a writer and director for the student-created television show, "The Aughts", and this April he's going to combine the screen and the stage in his own production, "The One Stoplight in Hollis.

Some people think college students are too old for Halloween, but we couldn't disagree more. In fact, the holiday is so central to the Fairfield experience that the senior class is now frantically debating whether or not the Halloween season begins on Friday night or Saturday night.

They are the foci of projects proposed by three exceptional groups of students this year, all of whom became recipients of the University's first ever Diversity Grant initiative.

The changing face of FYE

Anybody on campus could tell you what FYE is. The literalists would say that it stands for First Year Experience, the humanists would say that it's a multi-faceted program aimed at getting the freshmen involved, the perfectionists would tell you during a detailed 11-minute summary complete with PowerPoint slides and the nihilists just wouldn't have cared enough to answer.

Seniors spearhead AIDS relief effort

African victims of HIV/AIDS may seem a world away, but two Fairfield students are doing their part to battle the global epidemic from within the University. Jen Miller '07 and Marco Ambrosio '07 are taking part in the student-run FACE AIDS project, which aims to educate students on the AIDS epidemic and help raise $1 million by the end of 2006 to combat the disease.

It's Halloween. What does this mean to most college students? How is this holiday celebrated? We all remember the anticipation building up waiting for Halloween to finally arrive. We recall that day we when went pumpkin picking with our families; that night, we'd sit at home carving it with spooky music playing in the background while the pumpkin seeds were roasting in the oven.

Campus crime beat: Beer, bikes and burglary

10/18 3:30 a.m. A freshman in Campion complained of disorientation after falling from his bed due to intoxication. He was brought to the Health Center for further evaluation. 10/19 9:37 p.m. An Area Coordinator patrolling Jogues Hall witnessed a student drinking alcohol through the window.

Commuters pushed to ‘bottom of priority list’ by admin.

Head downstairs in the BCC and you will see the familiar offices of The Mirror, The Manor, WVOF, Graduate Studies and the commuter lounge. Wait, where did the commuter lounge go? Changes were made around the BCC ground floor this year. The Center for Multicultural Relations moved into the former FUSA office, which was subsequently moved into the corner that the commuter lounge previously occupied.
