The boys are back.
Last week marked not only the return of school, but also the return of HBO’s biggest show: ‘Entourage.’
‘Entourage’ revolves around Vincent Chase, an A-List actor who came from nothing to stardom. Upon achieving fame, Vinny brings his two best friends, Eric and Turtle, and his big brother Johnny along for the ride to live the sweet life. The series follows the gang around their adventures in Hollywood, alongside Vinny’s over the top agent Ari (played by Jeremy Piven).
The boys from Queens and company returned for their fifth season Sunday night, with its premiere episode ‘Fantasy Island.’
Season five picked up right where season four left off. After Vinny’s latest movie became a commercial flop, he goes into hiding in Mexico along with Turtle, while Ari is back at the mainland working to find him his comeback film.
Meanwhile, Johnny Drama’s ego begins to grow larger and larger during a photo shoot for his television show, causing problems with the photographers and producers.
Once Ari and Eric believe they have found promise for Vinny in a new script, the episode follows the two as they head to Mexico in an effort to convince him to return.
Judging by the premiere, this season will tell the story of trying to revive a dying career. This is not a problem for the viewers, though, as struggle always brings out the best of story lines for the HBO hit.
Just like the four seasons prior, the beginning of the fifth season was no disappointment for ‘Entourage’ fans. Characters like Johnny Drama and Ari Gold continue to squeeze out the laughs, while the lifestyles of characters like Vinny and Turtle leave those watching feeling good to be alive.
So when next Sunday comes around, remember to plop back on your couch, and hug it out for another season.
