Ghouls and goblins of all ages are invited to the Second Annual Halloween Fright Fest at the Community Theatre on Sunday, Oct. 30.   This all-day film festival, sponsored by Media Wave of Fairfield, is free to the public.  Funds raised through concession sales will benefit the Community Theatre Foundation, located at 1424 Post Road in downtown Fairfield.  Guests dressed in costumes will have opportunities to win great prizes. 

“I love Halloween,” said Paul Jordanopoulos, owner of Media Wave located at 1596 Post Road.  “I just want everyone in town to have a good time and be able to help a historic landmark like the Community Theatre,” he explained. 

The film schedule is as follows: “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” rated G at 12:00 p.m. “Hocus Pocus,” rated PG, at 12:40 p.m., “Casper,” rated PG, at 2:55 p.m., “Horror of Dracula,” rated R, at 4:20 p.m., “Psycho” (1960), rated R, at 5:50 p.m. “Halloween,” rated R, at 7:50 p.m. and “Ginger Snaps,” rated R, at 9:30 p.m.

Operated entirely by volunteers, the Community Theatre Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides affordable entertainment, unites young people in the spirit of volunteerism, and acts as a catalyst for community involvement, inspiration and support.

Media Wave, an independently and locally owned multi-media store, sells and rents a full selection of DVDs, videos, games and more. Serving the Fairfield community since 1997, Media Wave specializes in hard to find tittles and special orders.
