‘ER’ turns 300

Before "Grey's Anatomy" dominated Thursday night television, there was another medical show that reigned for years: "ER." This Thursday, "ER," the second-longest-running drama behind "Law and Order," will air its 300th episode. However, the prime time drama may be celebrating its last episode marker as well, with rumors that the show is slated to end.

Hollywood comes to Connecticut

It's not every day that Fairfield county residents get to see Leonardo DiCaprio running down the street. "It was a really hot day, and 500 people were there watching it," said Fairfield resident Carrie MacAdams. MacAdams, like many other Connecticut residents, are becoming accustomed to catching glimpses of the Hollywood elite since the state started giving film productions a 30 percent tax incentive for filming starting this past July.

Inti-Illimani goes out with a bang

The audience was chanting "Toca," meaning 'play' in Spanish, over and over as Chilean flags were raised throughout the audience. This was the scene as Inti-Illimani came out for its third standing ovation at the Quick Center this past Friday night. The Chilean music group finished its 40th Anniversary Tour to a not-so-packed but very passionate crowd, comprised of Spanish majors required to attend, Fairfield locals and a few faithful fans.

Crowd-winning Calisus comes to FU

Between touring, recordings and meetings in Los Angeles, Patrick Koch, the group's lead guitar player and singer, got a chance to talk to The Mirror about their upcoming Boys ' Girls Club benefit show, which will take place this Friday in the Oak Room.
