Wow! The Patriots actually won. One of the biggest shockers in Super Bowl history. And another shocker is that a Boston team actually won a championship. Not since the Celtics won in 1986, has a Boston team experienced a championship. Don’t expect anything from the Red Sox soon.

The Red Sox almost won the World Series, but I think we all know what happened there. But it was a great display of team unity when the Pats decided to be introduced as a team. Their victory was a team effort, and its great to see a team without show boaters.

It was also another year of boring commercials. I did not mind Britney’s Pepsi commercial. But then Pepsi wanted everyone to vote on there favorite Britney decade, that’s just going too far. I don’t think anyone cared that much to vote. There were some decent commercials, but nothing hilarious. Whatever happened to the Bud Bowl?

What could be better then beer bottles playing football? This year I just saw a lot of companies wasting a lot of money.

U2 gave a memorable performance honoring the fallen victims of 9/11. But halftime was way to long this year: nearly one hour. This show was much better than last year’s TRL-like show. Aerosmith, Britney, Nsync, Nelly, Mary J. Blige: it was all just too much last year. This year was simple and impressive.

This was another year of girls pretending they actually wanted to watch the game. The only time girls were not talking is when the commercials came on. And most of you ladies probably turned off the game when Sex and the City was on.

And then there was all the hoopla in the quad. It didn’t even compare to the wildness that went on out there when the Yankees won the World Series. But with the Pats amazing 20 – 17 win, it was the Boston fans making all the noise in the quad last Sunday.
