FAIRFIELD, Conn. (June 9, 2006) – Fairfield University’s Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts will present six performances of the Children’s Summer Theatre Workshops with Missoula Children’s Theatre from Friday, July 14, through Friday, August 18. The performances are the culmination of six weeklong summer theatre workshops for young people in grades 1 through 12.

The schedule of performances is as follows:

•”The Pied Piper” on Friday, July 14

•”The Little Mermaid” on Friday, July 21, and, with a different cast, on Friday, August 11

•”Red Riding Hood” on Friday, July 28

•”Robin Hood” on Friday, Aug. 4

•”Beauty Lou ‘ the Country Beast” on Friday, August 18

Now in its 17th season, the Children’s Summer Theatre Workshops offers students a chance to work with directors from Missoula Children’s Theatre, the country’s preeminent professional children’s theatre company. They also take classes led by professionals in movement, improvisation, arts and crafts and more before the Friday production.

All performances take place at 7:30 p.m. in the Kelley Theatre of the Quick Center for the Arts. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for children and seniors, with discounts for groups and subscriptions available. No children under the age of two will be admitted to help make sure the children on stage can give their full attention to their performances.
