Your parents: Bear and Grill Restaurant, 2000 Black Rock Tpk. If you’re sick of Barone, have your parents take you to Bear and Grill, a casual restaurant featuring American food in a rustic Adirondack setting. It is laid-back enough for a quick lunch, yet nice enough for a three-course dinner – whichever you prefer.

Your younger sibling: The Fairfield Community Theatre, 1424 Post Rd. See a previously-released movie for $5, and enjoy discounted soda and popcorn. Then take them to Sunny Daes Ice Cream Parlor, 808 Post Rd., for homemade ice cream cones.

Your older sibling: Bravo Restaurant/Bar, 1418 Post Rd. Definitely less trashy than other college bars, Bravo is the perfect place to take a sibling who may be a few years past graduation. Go early for dinner and stay for drinks.

Your best friend: Head down to Westport for some shopping, or take the Merritt to the Trumbull Mall. Get dinner at Taco Loco, 3170 Fairfield Ave. and sit outside and catch up over Mexican food and margaritas. Pick up a late-night movie at Mediawave, 1596 Post Rd.

Prospective students: Take them to a Fairfield basketball game – preferably one of the three being played at Alumni Hall. They just might catch Stag fever!
