REMIX, a Junior-Senior Seminar Art Exhibition opened on Tuesday, April 17 and will be open until May 3. The exhibition showed works from eleven junior and senior students.

The types of works ranged from pastel and charcoal on paper, to photography, to wood and wire. Although the exhibition is considerably short, only premiering 40 works, the range of subjects, styles and mediums is impressive. The exhibit is even creative in its presentation of the works. One photograph collage of a subway by Nazia Sultan ’07 was strewn randomly, yet intentionally, across two walls.

Also, works by each artist were similarly themed. Melissa Raineri ’07 focused most of her works on flowers, while Katie von Hoffman ’08 took multiple pictures of a young girl and an older woman.

Although art is not a very present force at Fairfield, the art that can be seen at REMIX is impressive.
