A typical Friday night allows for some interesting thoughts to cross through my mind. So for all those inquiring minds – Welcome to my World…

Mid Afternoon: Wow, I actually made it to work today. Deserves a reward. Maybe I should get a beer. Oh well. I’ll go see what everyone is doing. Then I will have a beer.

Ok. Time for a beer. Danielle, do not drink a lot tonight.

Around 9: All want to do is drink, what is taking so long. Finally at the Grape. Who is here that would buy me drinks … Flirted with him last week, oh wait, him too. Damn it. Who haven’t I flirted with? Oh well, I’ll go sit with my friends. Back corner, say hello as you pass by him. Oh dear God, what is she wearing. Ooooh … look at him, where has he been hiding? Danielle stop, you have a boyfriend. Right right. Ok, one beer down, don’t drink too much tonight. Control yourself. Oh look it’s Zeitz. I love that kid, he’s great.

Back to the bar, move out of my way. Hey look there’s Spence. Hug, kiss, move along. Oh well, drink some more. Is everyone as drunk as me, I hope so but does it really matter? “Hey hun can you get me a gin and tonic.” I just hope I don’t get sick.

Hey, I know this song-“All night long”- wow I sound good. Need more drinks- head to the ATM- last twenty dollars here we go. Head to the bathroom, line’s waaay too long. God, just piss and get out. Buy another gin and tonic, I’m not even drunk yet, I am golden.

Why do I keep smilin’? … Hey look, Greg, Jon and Matt… go talk to them- why are they asking me to go home with them … (Pause) oh wait, they are just kidding. God Danielle, pull yourself together. You don’t want to be the only one that’s drunk.

Time warp- ding ding ding, last call already, what the hell? Why are we leaving, I’m not done drinking, OK, time to go to the Traffic Barron. Where’s Patrick? Oh god, drive faster, I feel sick. (Pause) Thank god, false alarm. Slow deep breaths, slow deep breaths. Don’t let anyone know you feel like shit.

Sit on the couch, just relax. Why am I spinning? Feel better, please God, let me feel better. Few more beers, time to head home. Stop at 7-Eleven – breakfast sandwiches and taquitos. Oh god, I am going to feel like ass in the morning. Oh well. Doesn’t matter.

The next morning…. Bring me juice, I need juice. So parched. Why did I do this. I told myself I wasn’t going to drink. Definitely not tonight. I’ll drive.
