Best? Mike’s Pizza: The Levee

Mike’s Pizza tastes just like it smells … delicious. Since Mike’s is in the Levee, it is one of the most convenient locations on campus to get a decent slice of pizza, especially if you’re tired of the BCC’s doughy and undercooked pies. It may be a little greasy, but grease adds flavor. Plus, the short walk to and from the Levee guarantees pizza that is hot and right out of the oven. It doesn’t have to sit in a car in cold weather as the cheese solidifies before reaching your mouth. A comfortable booth at the Levee is a much better way to enjoy a pizza dinner than trying to squeeze a pizza box on top of a dorm room desk. For underclassmen, it’s an exciting change from the BCC and an opportunity to eat out.

Worst? Domino’s: 536 Post Road, Fairfield • 254-3175

Domino’s is great if it’s 3 a.m. and no other delivery place is open. It’s cheap and it’s more edible than pizza at the BCC. At that time of night and with the right state of mind, it probably doesn’t matter what the pizza tastes like. But, the entire Domino’s process is a headache. Before ordering, you have to listen to a recording that delays your late night meal. Also, does anyone actually know if the three pizza deal is still 5-5-5 or has it changed to 6-6-6? No one seems to know for sure, including Domino’s employees. When you get your food, a hot meal is a satisfying change from the stale food in your dorm. However, when you wake up the next morning, a trip to the bathroom is the first thing in order.
