I HATE EVERYTHING: Final words of wisdom

Graduation is only seventeen days away, and as I look back on my four years at Fairfield, I have the following insights to offer: lIf you are a freshman finishing up your first year and getting ready to blow off final exams, don't. I have been to several career and graduate school events, and someone always asks what you should do if you had a "bad semester freshman year.

Torre scratched from Quick Center lineup

Yankee manager Joe Torre has postponed his speech at the Quick Center due to scheduling conflicts. The two-time AP Manager of the year was supposed to speak on Tueseday, Dec. 17, but the speech will be delayed until a later date, which is still to be determined.

CAMPUS CRIME BEAT

Monday, December 2 6:27p.m. - A domestic argument between a husband and his wife was brought onto campus. Security advised them to seek counseling and escorted them off campus. 6:44p.m. - A deer struck a parked car. Hair and mucus were found on the hood and the fender.

COLUMN: Tip your beer to the new year…

Is all that Guinness giving you a beer belly? New Year's Eve is approaching; the perfect holiday for you to resolve any of your imperfections, or bad habits. It will soon be time to celebrate the end of 2002 and the beginning of a brand new year. Do Fairfield University students have resolutions for the New Year or plans for New Year's Eve? For most, it is difficult to not give into the resolution urge on the brink of the New Year's holiday.

THE SOPRANOS: Worst. Season. Ever.

While my job application to the Android's Dungeon in Springfield must have gotten lost in the mail, I can still safely say that "The Sopranos" fourth season is, without a doubt, the worst season of "The Sopranos" ever. I guess that may not be saying that much, considering it was, well, only the fourth season, but still.

Fairfield “prep”ared for construction headaches

More dirt, more noise, more destruction, more disruption. Fairfield Preparatory School has gotten used to construction headaches since it's been under construction since 1999. And more is still to come. Richard Magdon, director of operations for Fairfield Prep, said the $20 million project to add a new drama area, music room, and more office space is relatively on schedule.
