Routes pack Quick Center

Lovely acoustic melodies and electrifying alternative rock sounds soared through the Quick Center on Saturday night. The Routes played before a full house, which is 740 people in the Quick Center theater. The Alternate Routes consist of two Fairfield alumni who brought their talent back to their alma mater.

Alternate Routes are anything but ‘ordinary’

It was not too long ago that Eric Donnelly and Tim Warren were partying at Fairfield. Now, the duo is a part of the rock band Alternate Routes, and their music has been featured in such places as the MTV reality show "The Hills." The group's most recent album "Good and Reckless and True" has enjoyed a nice showing on the music stage, and the group plans to release a new album soon.

Law And Order: Judicial Boards Brought To Dorms

This year, a new policy has been instituted that deals with the consequences of minor first-offenses on Fairfield's campus. In the past, these minor offenders would be referred to the dean's office and the FUSA student court. Now, small, student conduct boards will be established in each residence hall to hear minor first-offense cases.

Tim Gunn’s New Gig

This fall, a new reality show on Bravo will be headed by "Project Runway's" Tim Gunn. Gunn, who is known to 'make it work,' is now heading a "What Not To Wear"-type show called "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style." The only reason anyone will be watching this show is because of Tim Gunn and the amazing things he says in his affluent manner.

‘Black Violins’ Surprise Students

If you weren't in the lower level of the BCC this Monday night, you missed the performance of Black Violin, a pioneering duo sponsered by FUSA. At first, many were questioning what would actually transpire. The audience was impressed as soon as their bows strung across their violins and some were so into performance that people started dancing.
