Wednesday, 9/12
3:08 a.m.
A student in Faber Hall reported the fire alarm was sounding in their room and that they could smell smoke. It was determined that the smoke was coming from the air conditioning. The building fire alarm was pulled and residents were ordered to evacuate. Fairfield Fire Department cleared residents to re-enter the building. Fairfield FD determined the cause of the smell to be oil from a blown motor that had leaked onto electrical components.
6:10 p.m.
A service elevator in the John A. Barone Campus Center was stuck, trapping an occupant. Fairfield Police Department was already on campus and the person was freed.
11:06 p.m.
In 70 McCormick Rd. a student surrendered drug paraphernalia and marijuana to DPS. One citation was issued and the student was referred to student conduct.
Thursday, 9/13
3:26 p.m.
A motor vehicle accident occurred in lower Canisius lot. No injuries were reported.
7:40 p.m.
A motor vehicle accident occurred in Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts parking lot. No injuries were reported.
Friday, 9/14
8:43 p.m.
An anonymous caller complained about the sound of fireworks coming from near McAuliffe Hall and The Levee.
8:58 p.m.
DPS was investigating a fire alarm in Meditz Hall when the odor of marijuana was detected. A student took responsibility and drug paraphernalia as well as a small amount of marijuana were confiscated. The student was referred to student conduct.
11:53 p.m.
Officers observed a bunch of males pushing a golf cart outside Gonzaga Hall. When officers approached the group they ran into the building. The individuals were caught and identified. A student admitted to taking the golf cart.
Saturday, 9/15
3:18 a.m.
An individual stole a post cover from a crosswalk. The individual was identified and the item was returned.
A student reported their vehicle was damaged while parked in front of townhouses. The incident is currently under investigation.
Sunday, 9/16
12:59 a.m.
A small group of males fled DPS near North Benson Rd. adjacent to College Park Dr. Paraphernalia was confiscated. The students were identified and referred to student conduct.
3:29 a.m.
An officer reported two males dragging a table from The Levee down the alley behind Fairfield Prep. The table was returned.
8:17 a.m.
A Fairfield prep student was involved in a motor vehicle accident at the main gate. No injuries were reported.
Evening
DPS is investigating a report of a sexual assault that occurred on campus during the evening hours.
A fire watch was initiated while the simplex alarm system was down leading to the presence of Fairfield FD on campus for several days.
