To the Editor:

This past Sunday we returned to school after four of the greatest days of our young lives. Our trip to the Bahamas was a once in a lifetime experience and it would not have been possible without the efforts of the FUSA members.

Back during Homecoming week last October, FUSA brought in a group called “Outcast” to run a Survivor-style game show. The winner of the game show would win a trip for two to the Bahamas. I was fortunate enough to be that lucky winner. Normally, we never would have had enough money to pay for such a trip like this.

Although the trip was not entirely free of charge, we definitely would have had to pay a lot more had we not won the contest. We want to personally thank FUSA, specifically the ones who helped to coordinate and set up for the game show.

You guys deserve a lot of credit for all the work you put into planning events for the school.

We hope to see the Survivor game show become an annual event at Fairfield University. We also encourage all undergraduate students to attend more FUSA events.

Sincerely, Kurt Heinold ’05
