To the Editor:

I am writing in response to the article that you wrote last week about FUSA. It might have appeared to some readers that the article gave a tone that FUSA is not motivated this year. This is hardly the case and I think the success of this first month is a perfect example of how motivated FUSA really is. The programming board successfully ran such events as Rusted Root, Week of Welcome, and Thursday night bowling trips. Senate is on their way to developing a new peer advising system to benefit the entire student body. The Board of Governors has new policies and procedures to make club life more efficient and fun.

Still not convinced? Then, I encourage all students to come and find this out for themselves. On Tuesday, the 22nd, FUSA will be having their first Open Forum Series. This will be a great opportunity for the entire student body to see what FUSA has been doing and what our plans are for the semester. All executive members will be there to discuss their goals and plans for this school year.

There will also be a part of the forum for the student body to ask questions and provide FUSA with suggestions. All undergraduate students are members of FUSA and therefore we want to know what they think and what their major concerns are.

Thank you,

Karen Donoghue, ’03

FUSA President
