There were three guys. There was a fight. There was also a gun. Seems scary when you think about it, huh? And truth be told, it is. I can't think of anybody I know who would hear the terms "school" and "loaded weapon" and be all like, "Sweet, what kind?" (Well, there is this one guy I went to high school with named Jean-Claude, but never mind him).

It's Christmas time, the time of year when snow hits the ground, red and green lights are lit up, and presents are put under the tree. But most importantly, it's a time of year when all my favorite bands release their holiday-themed songs.

Since the early '90s Cake has been one of the most popular indie bands, famous for its fusion rock that combines funk, rock, pop and jazz. The group scored big with songs such as "The Distance" and "Short Skirt/Long Jacket." You may recognize "Short Skirt/Long Jacket" as part of theme to the NBC's show "Chuck.

It's not every day that Fairfield county residents get to see Leonardo DiCaprio running down the street. "It was a really hot day, and 500 people were there watching it," said Fairfield resident Carrie MacAdams. MacAdams, like many other Connecticut residents, are becoming accustomed to catching glimpses of the Hollywood elite since the state started giving film productions a 30 percent tax incentive for filming starting this past July.

For the first time ever, Ham Channel members' talented work is available to anyone outside of the University campus via Internet. Fairfield's student-run television station, the Ham Channel, has been running independently of any outside television network.
