UPN and WB were losing money and instead of being two sinking networks they decided to come together to form the titanic of all sinking networks-CW.

Now before CW could even get afloat Fox has decided to launch a new network to challenge CW.

Drum roll for the creative name of the new mini-network: “My Network TV.” Perhaps they are hoping that MNT will look so much like MTV that the youth of America will get confused and tune in. The motivation for introducing a small network in a market where small networks are slowly being weeded out is unknown. Who really knows if CW actually posses a threat to Fox?

Also, Fox is looking to be more experimental with its programming, which will include more reality television shows. Are you serious? How could we possibly be more experimental in reality television?

In addition to the open new avenues in reality television My Network TV will be airing two new soap opera named obviously, “Desire” and “Secrets.” Meaning that most likely only females in the 18-24 bracket will be tuning into the My Network TV.

The answers to this and all of your questions will come this fall when My Network TV is launched on the New York stations that currently carry UPN and in 24 percent of the rest of the country. Only time will tell if My Network TV takes storm of the whole country.
