With the holidays right around the corner, many may be wondering what to bake for celebrations with their families. To give you some ideas, here are five of my favorite cookie recipes.
- Nestle Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies
These are a classic and one of my favorite things to bake. Occasionally I’ll make batches with white chocolate chips or even M&Ms, and they still taste fabulous. Be sure to add a splash of milk while mixing all the ingredients to uplevel the cookie! - Lemon Glaze Cookies
These have been some of my favorite cookies ever since I was a little kid. My mom makes them during her baking extravaganza each holiday season, and I always look forward to them. Here’s the recipe: Glazed Lemon Cookies
- Chocolate Cherry Cookies
Chocolate is my lifeline, so of course these are another one of my favorite holiday cookies. The sweet cherries just pair so well with the sharper taste of the dark chocolate. Check out this link for the recipe: Chocolate Cherry Cookies Recipe – Two Peas & Their Pod
- Ginger Snaps
A more savory holiday treat for those who aren’t in for something too sweet. These are also one of my favorite cookies (can you tell I really like cookies?!), and the recipe is here: Old Fashioned Ginger Snaps Recipe | Sweet Tea + Thyme. Skip the sugar at the end if you really want something more savory and want to let the spices truly shine.
- Sugar Cookies
This is another classic. These are so fun to make, and I especially enjoy cutting the dough into shapes and decorating them at the end. This is a great recipe, and there’s even a video tutorial with it: The Best Sugar Cookies (Recipe & Video) – Sally’s Baking Addiction
I hope this gives you some ideas for cookies this holiday season—happy baking!
