Green Day

To promote their new and highly acclaimed album “American Idiot,” Green Day has scheduled 27 dates across the U.S., including stops at Worchester, Mass. on Oct. 28, Rutherford, NJ on Oct. 30 and Rochester, NY on Nov. 5. Featured during the tour is the new album’s “centerpiece, ‘Jesus of Suburbia,’ a mini-rock opera,” according to a press release. Touring with Green Day are New Found Glory and Sugarcult. Tickets are approximately $33.

Interpol

After performing with The Cure all summer, Interpol is ready to headline and step out on their own. The band has scheduled a club tour to support their sophomore album, “Antics,” which was recorded right in neighboring Bridgeport, Conn. Rhode Island and New York are the last legs of the tour, scheduled on Nov. 8 and Nov. 11. Tickets range from $17.50 to $25. Taking Back Sunday

Backing their sophomore album “Where You Want to Be,” Taking Back Sunday has scheduled nearly three dozen cities as part of their fall tour. The ambitious schedule – which opened on Sept. 28 in Iowa City, Iowa – commenced just as Taking Back Sunday wrapped up the summer’s Vans Warped Tour. The band has several November dates scheduled for Boston, New York City and Sayerville, N.J. with opening bands Atreyu, Funeral For a Friend and Like Yesterday. Tickets are approximately $20.

Mos Def

Mos Def’s second album, “The New Danger,” represents his first release of original solo tracks since 1999’s “Black on Both Sides.” Opening for Mos Def is Jill Scott, who is flying high after critical acclaim for her own second album, “Beautifully Human: Words and Sounds Vol. 2.” Mos Def will be in New York City on Halloween and at Cornell University on Nov. 7. Tickets are approximately $30.

Incubus

Touring the world almost nonstop since March, Incubus has recently added more dates to their North American leg, including Oct. 28 in Binghamton, NY and Nov. 6 in Rochester, NY. The tours support their latest release, “A Crow Left of the Murder.” Live “bootleg” CDs are being released from these tours, with all proceeds from these CDs being donated to the band’s Make Yourself foundation. Tickets for in New York concerts are approximately $32.50.

Everclear

Sporting a new lineup and a greatest hits album, Everclear continues their tour to promote “Ten Years Gone: The Best of Everclear 1994-2004,” a 21-track album that includes hits as well as unreleased tracks. Founding guitarist Craig Montoya and longtime drummer Scott Cuthbert may have parted to pursue other projects, but with replacements Dave French and Brett Snyder, the group has gone from trio to quartet. According to frontman Art Alexakis, they are better than ever. Everclear is appearing in New York, New Jersey and Hartford, and tickets are approximately $26.50.
