I HATE EVERYTHING!: I want my lozenges!

I would be famous. Newspapers would write about how I had brought SARS to Connecticut, the CDC would grill everyone I had made contact with in the last weeks, and suddenly everyone would refer to me as Patient Zero. Of course, I didn't really have SARS, or anything remotely that serious, but I still felt like garbage.

Building the foundation of hope

The majority of students at Fairfield have probably never had to worry about keeping a roof over their heads, and most likely have not thought too much about those who have. There is, however, a group of students on campus who spend time each week helping to build affordable housing for low-income families.

Planting seeds of awareness

When Danielle D'Angelo, '04, gave a persuasive speech for her Argument and Advocacy class asking her peers to donate to the American Cancer Society (ACS), her assignment didn't end there. D'Angelo developed her research into Fairfield University's very own branch of Daffodil Days, a seasonal fundraising project expected to raise between $3,500 and $4,000 for the ACS.

Students ranging from freshmen to seniors walk with their heads way up in the clouds, all with a strut. Not only do FU students appear confident, but it blatantly comes across in their conversations and actions.

Seniors upset by core course waitlists

Saving a few easy core classes for second semester senior year? Be careful, that may only be a good idea in theory. Most seniors try to pick the easiest schedule containing their remaining necessary classes for graduation. Usually this is a very specific combination, and one full class can throw off the entire mix.

One is the happiest number

I have had this conversation many times: Friend: You went to the movies today? Me: Yes. Friend: Who did you go with? Me: No one. Friend: What? Why? Yes, it is true. I go to the movies, a lot. More importantly, however, I go by myself. I know what you all must be thinking, because every time someone asks me the inevitable "with who" question, and hear my reply, they look at me like I have two heads.
