‘Introducing’ the New ‘ Improved Joss Stone?

Virgin records is promoting Joss Stone's new album "Introducing Joss Stone" as "an electrifying mix of warm vintage soul, '70s-style R'B, Motown girl-group harmonies and hip-hop grooves." After listening to Stone's new album you have to wonder if Virgin actually listened to the record they are describing. "Introducing," demonstrates a departure from Stone's funk roots to a more modern hip-hop sound.

No Singing in the Rain

Snow on the ground and freezing temperatures can only mean one thing for the spring; Lacrosse season is upon us. However, despite the cold temperatures the Fairfield women's lacrosse team was unable to pull out wins in their opening weekend. "The turnovers and the attack transition was our biggest problem," said Head Coach Stacey McCue about the 8-7 loss to Villanova on Saturday and the 14-7 loss to Yale University on Monday night.
