Letter to the Editor: Taking the RA out of IRHA

The office of Residence Life has created a new rule that says RAs cannot hold a high position in an organization or club for fear that they will neglect their residents. I am writing to you regarding a restriction I was told will be placed on the RAs for next semester.

Letters to the Editor: Army disrespect, FUSA elections and fake IDs

Protestor an 'arrogant nuisance' Like many others, I was disgusted after reading the newspaper article detailing the way the writer went about harassing the army recruiters who came to Fairfield. I was surprised that the article was written, due to the fact that Levy made himself come across as an arrogant nuisance.

Letter to the editor: Alumnus calling out school spirit

As an alumnus, I was disappointed and embarrassed by the total lack of student support this afternoon in Alumni Hall for your women's basketball team. The hard-fought game against league-leading Marist had only 26 of you students at the game - that's right 26.

Letter to the editor: Silencing Stanczyk

To the Editor: I can look past the Columbus Day Weekend bashing and even the wild assumptions and generalizations of Dan Stanczyk's enthralling 'He Said' column, but this week had me particularly fired up. Although he makes some accurate commentaries on the female population here at Fairfield, he falls short at not being able to recognize the small yet strong fourth group of women.

Letter to the editor

I am not a cigarette smoker and I am certainly proud to say it. In an Oct. 4 article, Mr. Andrew Chapin ('09) jokes that it's a good thing adolescent girls have turned to cigarettes to lose weight rather than speed or coke. Cigarettes kill 400,000 people a year in the United States and cost more than $167 billion in annual health related costs.
